The small tourist village of Montan lies on sunny slopes overlooking Auer. Excellent climatic conditions provide the perfect environment for the ageing of the best Pinot in South Tyrol.

At the heart of this region is Castelfeder, called the Arcadia of South Tyrol for its wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere. Most fascinating is the Nationalpark Trudner Horn with its boundless woods of holly, pastures and idyllic views.

The village is surrounded by a rich and varied landscape of vineyards and orchards. This area is also the starting point of the famous Tour of the Dolomites.
