South Tyrolean Wine Museum
...more than just a good glass of wine!
In this impressive museum, located in the center of Kaltern/Caldaro, visitors can learn about many aspects of wine history and culture, with a particular emphasis on the South Tyrolean wine-growing region. A variety of equipment and tools used by local wine-growers - like barrel-making tools, antique wine presses, as well as wooden and glass storage vessels - are displayed in the exhibition space. On special request, it is possibile to organize a wine tasting in the museum's cellars, where you can sample a variety of vintages from nearby vineyards.

- Wine Excursion Day: "Market in the vineyard" 24th April | 10 am–5 pm | free admission
- Tasting wines from old grape varieties and guided tour 14th May | 7 pm–9 pm (languages: German and Italian)
- AROMATITES: Spiced wines according to recipes from Roman antiquity 22nd May | 10 am–4 pm
- Tasting wines from old grape varieties and guided tour 1st and 3th September |3.30 pm–5 pm (languages: German and Italian)

Closed on Mondays and on November 1st.
By appointment only, duration about 1 hour.
South Tyrolean wine-tasting sessions are held periodically in the Museum's wine cellar. Advance booking is necessary.
