"Tradition in motion" - pushed by a lost-lasting strenght which is constantly searching for new ways to carry over time-honored traditions into the present and to preserve them for the future" - this is the motto of Kellerei Cantina Andrian, founded in 1893 as first cooperative in Alto Adige.

The vineyards are unique to the area, because they are protected to the west by Mount Gantkofel, which is made of calcareous stone. They expand over an area of 200 ° from south-south-east to east at an altitude between 260-340 metres above sea level.
Thanks to the different orientations, Andriano is the ideal growing area for different varieties: east: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, south-east: Lagrein, Merlot.

To express the character of this distinctive terroir also in the wines, is what we do at Andrian since centuries with passion and dedication.
The cooler climatic conditions with respect to other areas in Alto Adige, are responsible for the crisp acidity in the wines, that give them their unique complexity, freshness and elegance.

Since September 2008 Kellerei Cantina Andrian has been managed by Kellerei Cantina Terlan; the new vintages, which have been released in march 2009, present themselves with a new quality philosophy, obtained by a drastic reduction of the yield, and new packaging in 2 quality lines: the classics with 14 wines and the selections with 4 wines.
