Manincor
"Hand-on-heart" - The gentlysloping, sundrenched mountainsides and hills around Kaltern (Caldaro) straddling the famous "WeinStrasse" and beside the Lake of Kaltern seem created for the production of fine wines. Manincor with its magnificent manor house dating from 1608 embodies the area's long, rich wine tradition. The historical complex has been cautiously extended to include a winery and cellar concealed beneath vines. Factors which contribute to the production of superlative wines each with its own unique character include the diverse terroirs, painstaking work in the vineyards and Count Michael GoëssEnzenberg's relentless, uncompromising strive for quality.
The Wines - The Liebenaich, Campan Castle, Mazzon and Manincor sites, gems of the Manincor estate comprising over 48 hectares of vineyards in the Terlan and Kaltern areas, are the result of careful selection and have been lovingly tended for centuries. A process culminating in wines to delight even the most discerning palates. Our new, mainly underground cellars provide the ideal conditions for vinifying and preserving superb quality wines, with natural ventilation, exploitation of warmth from the earth, where the wine is transferred in all stages of its development by gravity rather than pumping. All of which ensures that Manincor wines preserve the elegance and finesse conferred by nature.
