Winery Schmid Oberrautner
The winery Schmid Oberrautner was founded in the 14th century. Since these days the family has always been owner of the vineyards and some fields in the plains of Bolzano. The small and very special winery is located in the heart of Bolzano/Bozen, in the charming quarter of Gries with its magical rustic flair. The lively city centre with picturesque narrow streets, arcades, and squares is just a stone’s throw away. The viticulture mainly consists of a grape called Lagrein, an original grape of this zone. Schmid Oberrautner is specialized in producing wines made of these grapes.
From July 2020 you can look forward to three newly restored holiday apartments with a large garden. Whether you want to enjoy some “dolce vita” in the city with shopping, culture, and an aperitivo at the square, active leisure time while hiking and biking, or just a nice glass of wine at your holiday apartment – anything is possible. Because hospitality is our passion, we are not only at your disposal with insider tips and recommendations, but also invite you to visit the vineyards, the cellar, or to spend a delightful culinary evening in our traditional Stube parlour. If you’re feeling romantic, we recommend our special: the convertible tour in an Alfa Romeo Spider exploring the Dolomites. When breakfast rolls around, it’s Buongiorno Italia, Guten Morgen Südtirol, and Good Morning, Love! We look forward to seeing you!
