Cantina Kaltern

Cantina Kaltern is one of Alto Adige’s most renowned wine cooperatives, embodying a living winemaking tradition on the shores of Lake Caldaro. Founded in 1900, it emerged from the merger of five smaller cooperatives that gradually united to form today’s winery. Today, around 520 winegrowing families cultivate approximately 430 hectares of vineyards in and around Caldaro with dedication and care. The portfolio ranges from fresh, approachable everyday wines to characterful premium wines with international acclaim. Sustainability and a close connection to nature are key values, with an increasing number of members working according to organic or biodynamic principles. With wines such as the Quintessenz line, Stern Sauvignon, and Campaner Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva, Kellerei Kaltern masterfully combines tradition, terroir, and contemporary winemaking at the highest level.
