Alois Lageder Estate
The Alois Lageder Winery has been family-owned since 1823 and is now run by the sixth generation. The key principle is: Diversity is key. For Alois Lageder, diversity is essential, as it makes for more fertile soil, healthier agriculture, vibrant ecosystems, and wines with character. The approach to viticulture is holistic: with animals in the vineyards, an in-house vegetable garden, experimentation, creative details, and a team representing over 15 nationalities. Diversity inspires and challenges. In the best possible way.
The wines reflect the geographical and artisanal diversity of Alto Adige: they are fresh, lively and clearly defined in style. In 2004, the family vineyards were converted to biodynamic agriculture. Since 2024, all vineyards of the approximately 60 vintner partners have also been cultivated exclusively using organic or biodynamic methods. Diversity is the basis for sustainable farming and living soils.
